Manifesto

The thesis

  • The next AI moat isn't intelligence. It's personal context.
  • People won't choose the smartest AI. They'll choose the AI that knows them.
  • Omi is the most personal AI

What's broken

  • Today's AI is a vending machine: prompt → answer → forget.
  • Real progress needs continuity: memory, goals, patterns, follow-through.
  • Advice doesn't change behavior. Timing + context does.

What Omi is

  • Omi is your personal AI mentor
  • It learns your life from what you say, do, and work on.
  • It doesn't just answer. It nudges.
  • It doesn't just remember. It pushes.
  • It doesn't just help. It keeps you honest.

The belief

  • Personal context beats raw IQ.
  • A smaller model with your history beats a bigger model with none.
  • The killer feature isn't chat. It's proactivity.

The mission

  • Make humans 1,000× more productive.

How we win

  • By collecting ALL data about the user

  • To achieve it, we commit to privacy and open-source

  • Use the data to give the maximum personalization

Roadmap

Phase 1 — Desktop software (now)

  • Start where your life already happens: your computer.
  • Capture the three signals that matter:
    • Meetings (what you said)
    • Files (who you are)
    • Screen (what you're actually doing)
  • Give back what people crave:
    • "Here's what you should do today."
    • "Here's how you should do it"
    • "Here is what I noticed"
  • Success isn't "Omi is smart."
  • Success is: "Omi knows me."

Milestone before next phase: 200k software users — this milestone will make us self-sustainable (~$100k MRR) and will prove that the product is useful enough to grow organically

Phase 2 — Necklace (offline life)

  • Work isn't your whole life. Conversations are.
  • Capture the world AI never sees: real life.
  • Turn talk into outcomes: tasks, follow-ups, coaching.

Milestone: 100k necklaces before moving next. This will prove a PMF and make it self-sustainable. Most likely we will kill the necklace after glasses are launched.

Phase 3 — Glasses (real-time)

  • Eyes beat ears for context by 10x
  • AI sees what you see. Understand what you're doing as it happens.
  • The jump: from "helpful" to situationally aware.

Milestone: 1M glasses before moving next. This will prove a PMF and make it self-sustainable. Glasses are a great formfactor cuz ~3B people already wear glasses

Phase 4 — Brain (intent)

  • The final unlock is intent before action.
  • Start with silent speech.
  • Then brain signals non-invasive.
  • Go invasive only when society is ready.

Milestone: 7 billion devices. Our mission is to make ALL humans 1000x more productive. We will connect all humans into a single network/metaverse. At first, it will be in the glasses but eventually the screen will be ditched

Why now

  • Models are commoditizing.
  • Context is the new moat.
  • The winner is the AI that sticks.

Why us

  • We ship hardware + software as one system.
  • We use open source as a trust wedge.
  • We're not building "a recorder." We are collecting context to build the most personal AI

thought to action.
